I’m writing with good news: The New York State Senate has shown unanimous support for early college high schools by passing a bill that would give these programs and their students access to much-needed financial aid.
But we haven’t won yet. We still need the Assembly to vote on this bill—and there are just days left in the legislative session! Before the Assembly can vote, the bill must pass through the Higher Education Committee.
By signing this letter to the committee’s chairperson, Assemblymember Deborah Glick, you are voicing support for schools that succeed in sending more and more of New York’s most disadvantaged students to college.
